Parrot doodles

I was in London recently for my classes master exhibition in Framestore. It was a great weekend and amazing seeing everyone again. But during the course of the weekend i was chilling out in a park just listening to music and probably doodleing a little. When suddenly this old woman walked by with too very dark blue parrots on her shoulders. I was completely dumb stuck and though this was the coolest thing.

So i started to doodle some roughs today over a coffee. Hopefully i'll get some sort of finished looking piece together but that might be unlikely cause my photoshop has run out of free days. Sad panda :( . So maybe this is all you'll get of these.

These are for a mate because i was telling her the story and somewhere along the lines i said i'd draw them. Actually check out her little blog. She is in the process of making her grad film which is looking very nice . Lynne's Blog

A bunch of doodles.

I saw a deadly little mickey mouse pose today on some blog done by Fred Moore. REally liked it so i decided to copy it for the craic. 

This was a little warm up doodle i did as part of some prep for a drawing i was doing for the RHA/National land trust or something along those lines. It was pretty cool. gotta draw over a robert balla painting which was pretty slick.

FlatLand-

Directed by myself in the Ncca in Bournemouth University as part of my masters project. All work is done by my self. Link to the full film http://vimeo.com/27777445

Software : Autodesks Softimage|XSI, Mud box, Adobe Master collection CS5 , Nuke , Python and Pftrack. The back plate footage is all shot on a Canon 550D with the stock 18-55mm lens at dublin’s IFSC.
Project took 12 weeks from preproduction to completion

My Masters film

So this is my masters film from a year spent at the Ncca in Bournemouth University. Its all done and i'm very happy with it. It took 12weeks from preproduction to Hand in. I learnt so much on this project it was insane. Basically had to learn how to do everything from scratch.

Its all made in Xsi , comped in nuke and edited together using Adobe premiere. The back plate stuff is all shot on a Canon 550D with the stock 18-55mm lens. Then it was tracked in PFtrack.

Basically the main reason i made this was to try something that i could never animate with a pencil. I really wanted to try and push myself and see what i could do with 3d.
